What are the general trends in leadership/management that are impacting your organization?

Both leadership and organizational strategy in the next decade will see major trends affecting the way organizations conduct business. These include the deployment of more technology to extend reach and access, increased globalization, increased diversity, more focus on extended supply chains, and a more nomadic workforce. In this assignment, you will consider these trends and analyze how they may impact your selected organization and what actions are necessary to get ready to address these trends.

You have been appointed by your organization (either a hypothetical one or one you are familiar with) to prepare its Workforce 2020 executive report.

The report should be as detailed as possible for the CEO of your organization. That means it should include the key points of your research, analysis, and findings. The report should also contain examples of specific application to your company in a clear, concise, and informative document.

In Module 4, you began your research on Workforce 2020. In this module, you will expand on the work you did in Module 4. Take Module 4’s paper, and incorporate the items below into your work. Be sure to use the module readings, University online library resources, and the Internet, including federal guidelines. Select at least 3–4 scholarly resources for use in this assignment.

Complete the following:

Analyze your organization in its present form. Explain your organization’s structure, workforce diversity, market/customer diversity, and communications technology.
Forecast future trends. Identify the economic, social, demographic, and workforce parameters that are expected to be in the U.S. in the year 2020. Explain how those trends will or will not be reflected in your organization. Consider addressing the following:
What are the general workforce trends?
How will these trends impact your industry?
What are the general trends in leadership/management that are impacting your organization?
Synthesize data and recommend changes needed for the future. Identify and recommend leader, organizational, and workforce trends that must be considered for change in the larger macro environment (for example, advances in technology or globalization) in your organization. Identify related outcomes for each specific topic: Consider addressing the following:

What leadership actions should the organization take?
What competencies will be needed?
What does the organization need to do to be prepared?

To conduct a holistic assessment of your selected organization and the challenges and opportunities it faces in addressing the noted trends, consider some of the concepts listed below as you develop your recommendations for the organization. It is not necessary to include all the concepts, but you should include 2–3 of them to do a thorough analysis. For example, leadership models and diversity management are likely to be pivotal areas for the organization. You could talk about the environment trends that were noted in the beginning of this assignment and then discuss how leadership practices and approaches in your selected organization may have to change to meet or address those trends.

Analyze how the following concepts apply to your organization:

Diversity management
Leadership models
Ethics
Decision-making models
Problem solving
Conflict management processes

Ensure that your paper includes the following:

An integrated report with an introduction and summary
A set of recommendations that will enable the organization to meet the expected challenges of 2020
Trends in your own organization
3–4 credible, cited sources supporting your projections

Support your assertions using the selected scholarly resources.

Your final product will be in a Word document and be approximately 12–15 pages in length and utilize 5–7 scholarly sources in your research. Your paper should be written in a clear, concise, and organized manner; demonstrate ethical scholarship in accurate representation and attribution of sources; and display accurate spelling, grammar, and punctuation

What factors account for these differences?

All human beings encounter pain and suffering in life. This can present some difficult questions to organized religions.

On some level, all religions answer fundamental questions of human existence, including, “why are we here?” Pain and suffering complicate these basic questions of human existence, whether the religion is monotheistic, polytheistic, or atheistic.

Some people endure much more pain and suffering than others. Why is this so? What is the origin of suffering? Is evil external or internal? Does it have any meaning? How should we respond to it?

Even more difficult is the problem of moral evil: some people deliberately cause other people to suffer. Why? If there is meaning in the universe, and especially if the universe is ruled by a beneficent deity, how can this be?

Write an essay of 1,000 words that examines the basic positions of each of the five religious traditions considering these human questions

In your essay, address the following questions:

How does each religion (Buddhism, Christianity, Hinduism, Islam and Judaism) respond to the problems of evil and suffering?
How are those responses similar?
In what ways do the responses differ?
What factors account for these differences?
Which way of addressing evil is the most similar to your own? What role does reason play in your personal understanding of evil? How does that overlap or contradict with the major religions’ uses of reason in explaining evil?

Describe your community by name, geography, and demographics.

The focus of this assignment is for you to research and to critically analyze the court system in your own community. The questions below will help you to guide your research and your response which you should construct in an essay format with sub-titles addressing as much of the following points as the information available to you. To successfully comment, you should first understand some basic demographics about your own community. For example, you should be familiar with the population of your community (city or county) and also the approximate race and age distribution of your community. This information may be available at a variety of sources ranging from the US Census reports to Wikipedia or the official website of your city or county. The next thing that you will need to research and to know about your community is some specifics regarding the court system. Use some of the guidance provided in the lesson as well as the internet to locate information regarding your local city or your local county judicial system. In a last resort, if this information is not available to you, you should use information regarding your state court. (If you are not from the US or not presently in the US, then you may also wish to provide a comparative analysis of your country’s court system to that of the US Courts.)

Since most students will be answering regarding your county court system, you should be able to find the information about local judges on the official county government website, under judiciary or court system. You may also be able to find out more information from local newspapers. I want you to research and become familiar with the chief justice or the president judge of your community court system. For some of you who might struggle with details on your community court system, because of either antiquated websites or huge bureaucratic court structures, then please pick any known judge in your community to research and respond to the following questions. You should know about the judge’s background and his/her age, race, education, experience, and ties to the community. You should also know about what type of criminal justice problems (crimes, issues, etc.) exist in your community. The majority of the following essay questions will ask you to provide some critical thought and response as to how your judge handles court case challenges and what specific improvements, enhancements, and alterations could be implemented to make your judge or your court system more efficient and effective for your community.

To complete this essay:

Describe your community by name, geography, and demographics.

Detail some of the specific criminal justice issues or problems which you know to impact your community. Provide some basic examples from case studies or new related sources which demonstrate these issues or problems.

Write a brief biography on a court judge in your community. This may be a chief justice, president judge, judge, or local magistrate. Discuss their background and experience and using news articles and other sources, provide some commentary on how the judge is particularly perceived or involved in solutions to community criminal justice issues.

Comment on how you believe your community court system could be more efficient and more effective to the criminal justice system and to your community.

Part 2

Using the internet, locate a news article about a criminal court case that is under appeal and provide a link to that case study. (Please read through the postings of your classmates to be sure there are no duplicates.) In addition to posting the case study link, write a few sentences to describe the constitutional issue that is significant to the appeal and also comment in your own opinion about the merits of the appeal. In your opinion and based on what you know about the criminal justice system, should this case be affirmed, reversed, or remanded by the appellate court

Write a four to six (4-6) page paper in which you:

Compute the elasticities for each independent variable. Note: Write down all of your calculations.
Determine the implications for each of the computed elasticities for the business in terms of short-term and long-term pricing strategies. Provide a rationale in which you cite your results.
