Research Paper on Organizational Change: This assignment is a research paper that is due on November 24, 2015. Your paper will include at a minim of 5 sources, none of which can be Wikipedia. This paper will be a minimum of 8 pages not counting the cover page or reference page. This paper will be turned in on Blackboard using SafeAssign. Analyze your selected crime from the vantage point of the following three paradigms: Classical, positivist, and critical.

Final Project (Due Sunday, October 18th) All students will submit a final project no later than the last day of the term. The project should focus on a specific type of crime, such as: Urban gang violence; domestic violence; terrorism; heroin use; the manufacture of methamphetamines (i.e. “meth labs”); animal abuse; drunk driving; human trafficking; mortgage fraud. (If you have an idea for a different type of crime, write to your professor for approval before proceeding.) Proceed as follows: 1) Conduct a literature review to describe the nature and extent of your selected crime. 2) Analyze your selected crime from the vantage point of the following three paradigms: Classical, positivist, and critical. How would each perspective explain your crime, and how would they suggest addressing it? 3) Of the three paradigms, which do you think provides the best explanation of your crime? Explain your answer. 4) Finally, design a comprehensive plan for reducing crime from your selected paradigm. Be sure to apply specific theories and theoretical concepts in your design. For example, if you select the classical perspective, you might apply routine activities theory, situational crime prevention, and/or broken windows, and so on. Completed papers should be approximately 15-20 pages in length, not counting title page and reference list. All information must be drawn from government reports and/or academic/scholarly/professional books or journals, with a minimum of ten (10) high-quality sources required

Describe how each of these 3 elements function in each story.

Prompt: (1) make a comparative argument about three elements these two stories have in common. These elements can be related to structure, type of narration and point of view, character, setting, symbolism and figurative language. The elements don NOT have to be similar, but they have to yield a good comparison, even if they are different. (2) describe how each of these 3 elements function in each story. (3) compare and contrast these 3 elements respectively in the two stories. Clearly connect this comparison to your thesis argument and show how your formal analysis and comparison serve as a way to demonstrate your thesis. I have already written my paper, but my prof. sent out an email saying, “I have been making my way through grading Essay 1 and I have to say that I am not very happy with the results. You have to completely revise your essay, thesis statement, essay structure, topic sentences and conclusion.” I am attaching my essay as well as the grading rubric

Are the data collected in a way that avoids bias?

Description Students will write a report (APA format) describing a research study they design in their area of study. This report will include the introduction, participants/sampling method, procedures, data analysis (using one of the statistical tests covered in this class), and results/conclusions. This should be your own research study that you design. This is not an evaluation of published research. YOU CANNOT USE ONE OF THE STUDIES THAT YOU ALREADY PRESENTED IN THE WEEKS 5 – 7 FORUM. NOTE: You are NOT required to collect data or run the analysis. Based on your understanding of your research question, make-up numbers that would be appropriate for your study. Components of the Report: Introduction: Description of the study including the purpose and importance of the research question being asked. What is your null hypothesis? What is your research or alternative hypothesis? Your introduction should include at least two resources. These resources MUST be from peer-reviewed journals. You must use other resources and correctly cite (such as our text) when describing statistical concepts. Participants/Sampling Method: Describe the sample collected for the study, as well as the sampling method. How were your participants selected? Who is your population of interest? If you did a survey, how many will you survey to ensure your target sample size? How did you come up with that number? What do you expect your response rate to be? What was your sample size? How representative is the sample of the population under study? Procedures: How were the data collected? Was a survey or questionnaire used to collect data? What are the independent and dependent variables? How are the variables defined and measured? Are the variables nominal, ordinal, interval, or ratio measurement scales? Are the data collected in a way that avoids bias? What is your selected alpha level? Data Analysis: What statistical test was used to analyze the data? Describe the statistical test. What are the requirements? Did you meet those requirements? Describe why your selected method was appropriate to answer your research question. Make up a test statistic value. Given that value, do you reject or fail to reject the null hypothesis? Is your p < .05 or p > .05 (assuming alpha = .05)? Results & Discussion: Did your analysis answer your research question? Explain. What are the practical implications of your results? References: All references should be included in APA format.
