What do you think are the differences between analyzing the instructional needs of a learner in a traditional K–12 school versus analyzing the instructional needs of a working adult in a corporate or higher education setting? What areas of needs analysis might be similar?

Saying something like: “Excellent communication skills” or “Excellent computer skills” without adequate explanation of the specific KSAs will result in lowering you grade by at least one letter.
WHILE YOU MUST FIND A SPECIFIC FIRM’S WEBSITE, once you have one you can get help filling in specific KSAs from ONET (http://online.onetcenter.org/). Use our discussion of ONET in class as a guide, and keep in mind that ONET is much broader than a specific job. DO NOT START WITH ONET: Consult ONET after you have found a specific job at a specific firm. Note too that many professional associations have something that looks like certification criteria for entry level or early career positions. Check SHRM for HR; APICS for operations/logistics & IE; CPA exam for accounting; AMA for marketing; NASD for finance, etc. These will be a good deal broader than a specific entry level job, and you will more likely find they cover sets of related entry level/early career jobs in the occupation. This can help you with the KSAs for a specific job.

Reflect: Our political system is characterized by certain fundamental features to include a system of laws, rights, and liberties. The laws, created and supported by the Constitutional framework, are designed to protect and secure the rights and liberties of individuals and groups throughout the U.S. However, the government also has an obligation to provide for the security of its citizens from serious internal and external threats that could cause grave or severe damage to our country. The need for homeland and national security can create a dilemma where conflicts emerge between these security needs and the demands for civil rights and liberties.

Write: In your initial post, explain what obligations the U.S. government has towards its citizens and how can these obligations impact individual and group rights? Provide real-world examples to support your explanation. Fully respond to all parts of the prompt and write your response in your own words. Your initial response must be 200 to 250 words. Part III: Matrix

In comparing your product/service to that of the competition, construct a simple matrix in the following way:

List the key customer wants or needs on the left-hand vertical axis.
List the competing products on the top horizontal axis, starting with your product/service on the left.
For each customer want or need, indicate how well each competing product satisfies the need using a scale of 0–2.
0 = need not met
1 = need partially met
2 = need fully met

This is a simple but effective visual mechanism for comparing the relative position of multiple offerings from competing sources.

Write a 3-page paper in Word format and attach the matrix as an appendix. Apply APA standards to citation of sources. Use the following file naming convention: LastnameFirstInitial_M1_A3.doc. For example, if your name is John Smith, your document will be named SmithJ_M1_A3.doc.
