Discuss the federal reserve including a discussion of its role in our economy concentrating on the last five years.More importantly, include a discussion of the FED’s role in meeting our national economy’s goals on unemployment, inflation, and economic growth utilizing the FED’s traditional tools of reserve requirements, open market operations, moral suasion, and discount rate.
Finally relate the FED’s involvement to our present day economic enviroment and indicate what steps, if any, the current federal reserve chairman is likely to and should, in your opinion, pursue in the next12-24 months.
