Describe the message you wish to communicate based on your core strategy.

This assignment entails development of a comprehensive strategic marketing plan for a new product or service that is ready to “go to market”. A Project Template is provided that allows you to organize your work in increments and see how the sections come together to produce a comprehensive plan.

PRODUCT/SERVICE

This assignment requires application of concepts learned to build a strategic marketing plan for a new product or service that is ready to “go to market”. You will not be allowed to mimic plans or ideas from larger or already “in-place” campaigns. You must develop the business concept in its entirety.

Describe the new product or service.
Discuss the qualities that make this product/service new to the marketplace and the rationale for your decision to pursue the concept. Be sure to pick a product or service that is ready to market. If you are developing a new product, assume that the development phase is over and you are ready to launch the product into the marketplace.

OBJECTIVES/MISSION STATEMENT

Create a Mission Statement. State your short-term MARKETING objectives (one year). Assume that the product/service is ready to launch at the beginning of the year (planning and testing have been completed).

Marketing objectives include goals for sales, profits, market share (as examples)
Objectives need to be quantifiable. Use the SMART acronym—simple, measurable, achievable, relevant, and time-specific—in formulating your objectives. An objective with a 100% goal is not acceptable

TARGET MARKET

Identify your target market. Provide a specific demographic profile and rationale for this decision. Another source that may help you: The US Census Bureau’s American Fact Finder. Consider the size of the market and its purchasing power. Research is required to back-up your selection and to provide statistics to show that it is a viable market.

COMPETITION

Analyze your competition. Who are they? Who are the biggest players? How large is the market? What are the trends/forecasts in the industry? How does your product/service fit in? Hoover’s Pro in the Library is a good tool for this section; it may be accessed under Find Web Resources.

PRODUCT/SERVICE FEATURES

Provide a brief overview of the product or service.

State the features of your product/service. Show how it’s innovative and different. It may be unique because of the area in which you plan to market it.
Discuss legal and ethical implications that could affect the marketing process. This will require research.

CORE STRATEGY

Discuss your Core Strategy and make sure to connect it to your Mission & Objectives. Include a discussion on Product/Service Positioning.

MARKETING MIX: COMMUNICATIONS & PROMOTION

The Marketing Mix is the set of decisions about communications and promotion, price, channels of distribution, and customer relationship management. An integrated marketing communications (IMC) approach delivers a clear and consistent message to your consumers and is connected to your Core Strategy.

Discuss the aspects of the IMC. (The elements of the communication mix include: advertising, direct marketing, sales promotion, publicity/public relations and personal selling.) Define each and discuss the pros and cons of the individual elements.
Provide a detailed description of your IMC approach. Explain your rationale for choosing or rejecting the specific elements (include applications to the earlier research section). What changes do you expect to make as the product/service matures?
Describe the message you wish to communicate based on your core strategy. Explain your rationale for the message. Formulate how you will communicate with your target market? Be specific. How will the internet be used in your IMC approach?
Select and explain the most suitable method for measuring advertising effectiveness. Your decision must include research to back up the selected method. Be sure to explain why this is the most effective method to measure the effectiveness of your marketing campaign.

MARKETING MIX: PRICE

Discuss what pricing objectives you would consider for your product/service. The Objectives should be based on the various theories presented in marketing literature and take in to account competitor pricing. Including background on value proposition, positioning, and target market is necessary. All of these components provide rationale for the chosen pricing scheme.

MARKETING MIX: CHANNELS OF DISTRIBUTION

Channels of Distribution: Specify the type of distribution channel you will use and include rationale.

MARKETING MIX; CUSTOMER RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT

Customer Relationship Management -Detail how you will incorporate CRM into your plan. Be sure to include a discussion on the role of technology that will be used to support your CRM.

CONCLUSION

THIS IS THE BUSINESS:

I will be assisting everyone with their financial future. Manay people assume that they have it covered to sum extend however, the uniqueness of my firm is to assist them in saving monies. I will review the financial history of each client, no matter the age and assist accordingly with certain recommendations. What differenciates me from other similar firms would be the personal one on one service that would be offered. My role would be the minute you enter the doors of my office, I litterally hold your hands and walk you through a better financial future. Whether you are overloaded with debt or not. Whatever the finacial problem be will be fixed, once visited.

I personally believe in providing that service given the fall in the market in 2008. There are too many people hurting financially and have no idea how to fix it and they are overloaded with debt. For those who are not in the hole I will review their portfolio and give them updated information just so that they can see what is trending in the financial market, For those who require debt consolidation I will assit accordingly. I will start with 4 carefully personally hand picked staff members that works towards the same goal of assisting our clients needs. I will address the 3 p’s as that is key to getting the customers to my office.

Shortly after the CNO (Chief Nurse Officer) completed her annual performance appraisal and salary evaluations, as required by the Joint Commission; you are confronted by a minority female RN that claims that her wages are substantially less than her male RN counterpart who is performing the exact same job in the oncology department. She feels as if she is being discriminated against. You realize you have no procedures in place to address these issues. Although minorities continue to be underrepresented within the healthcare workforce, your healthcare systems has continued to diversify with an increased number of ethnic and racial employees. You are aware that minorities and women will continue to comprise the highest percentage of new entrants into the labor force. You also notice that this is a pattern as this is the fourth employee that has confronted you with an issue regarding diversity (i.e. specifically differences in racial, ethnic and cultural backgrounds) in the last six weeks from the oncology department.

Directions:

create a 15-20 slide PowerPoint Presentation to make a recommendation to the CEO to create a diversity office. The presentation should include the following:

Explanation of the issues associated with awarding pay increases as it relates to performance appraisal to ensure consistency.
Identification of components of compensation.
Determination of the impact on diversity in the healthcare organization.
Discussion of the role leadership plays in managing diversity and strategies to employ to effectively manage diversity

This iLab supports the following TCOs.

TCO 6: Given a project, develop an online form that uses client-side form validation.

You have been asked to design and implement a checkout form. Imagine that a user has been navigating an online store that sells a variety of sports equipment. The user has added a number of items to his or her shopping cart and is going through the checkout process to order the items online. The checkout page shows what the user bought and allows him or her to enter his or her information (name, address, credit card number, etc.) to complete the order. You are going to design this checkout form.

Lab Steps

Part A: Create the Web Page

1. Using what you learned in Weeks 1 to 4, create a web page that includes the following:

· A title for the online store—you make one up

· A subtitle that says “Complete Your Order”

· The items that the user ordered

o One kayak with rudder for $775.00

o One 10 L dry bag for $15.00

o Two helmets for $50.00 each

· The total cost for the order

2. Use CSS to create a layout and add styles, color, and graphics to the page as you see fit.

Part B: Add an HTML Form to the Page

1. Set up a form on the page below the order summary information.

2. Include fields for the following information:

name;
address (street, city, state/province, country);
phone number;
e-mail address;
preference for shipping or picking up the order;
credit card type (one of Visa, MasterCard, or American Express); and
credit card number.

Be sure to choose the appropriate form element to each input field. For example, a textbox should be used for “name”. Also, use appropriate labels for each field so that the user knows what information is expected.

3. Include a Submit button to complete the order.

4. Create a simple HTML page with a Heading Level 1 that says “Thank You!” Save this as thanks.html.

5. For the purpose of this lab, set the form action to thanks.html. When a valid form is completed, the form will redirect to this page (Note: If this page was part of a real store, we would set the form action to a server script to handle the order.)

Part C: Add Validation to the HTML Form

1. Include validation to the form to ensure that

· name and address are not blank;

· one of the ship or pick-up options is selected;

· a credit card type is selected; and

· a credit card number is not blank.

2. If the form does not validate, notify the user and do not allow the form to submit.

Part D: Complete the Lab Report

1. Download the CIS363_Lab_Report.docx file from Doc Sharing.

2. The lab report must be completed for all labs. The key parts of the report include the following.

Objectives: A one-paragraph explanation of the purpose of the lab.
Results: Include a screenshot of the working website or page.
Conclusions: A one-paragraph explanation of what you learned while completing the lab, any challenges you had to work through, and how you can use what you learned going forward.

Submit Deliverables

1. Copy files from the Citrix server (if necessary).

Zip all of the files from Parts A–D into a single zip file.

3. Submit your zip file to the Dropbox.

Extend the Week 2 Project Proposal/Design and create a detailed page layout design in Visio that you will use as a template for all the web pages in your site. The template should include

1. a header area;

2. a link area;

3. a main content area; and

4. a footer area.

In the diagramming application, use the Save As option to create an image file (jpg, gif, or png) of your site. Copy this image file into your Project Proposal document.

Create blank content pages as per your site diagram. To do this, you must have the filenames of major site pages determined. You should have a home page (index.htm) and all of the subpages created, but content information is not required. Create the navigation links between the site pages. The pages do not need to have much content, but they must be created and contain the navigation elements and placeholder elements for your content. Begin to implement the box model with

tags and CSS.

What are the general trends in leadership/management that are impacting your organization?

Both leadership and organizational strategy in the next decade will see major trends affecting the way organizations conduct business. These include the deployment of more technology to extend reach and access, increased globalization, increased diversity, more focus on extended supply chains, and a more nomadic workforce. In this assignment, you will consider these trends and analyze how they may impact your selected organization and what actions are necessary to get ready to address these trends.

You have been appointed by your organization (either a hypothetical one or one you are familiar with) to prepare its Workforce 2020 executive report.

The report should be as detailed as possible for the CEO of your organization. That means it should include the key points of your research, analysis, and findings. The report should also contain examples of specific application to your company in a clear, concise, and informative document.

In Module 4, you began your research on Workforce 2020. In this module, you will expand on the work you did in Module 4. Take Module 4’s paper, and incorporate the items below into your work. Be sure to use the module readings, Argosy University online library resources, and the Internet, including federal guidelines. Select at least 3–4 scholarly resources for use in this assignment.

Complete the following:

Analyze your organization in its present form. Explain your organization’s structure, workforce diversity, market/customer diversity, and communications technology.
Forecast future trends. Identify the economic, social, demographic, and workforce parameters that are expected to be in the U.S. in the year 2020. Explain how those trends will or will not be reflected in your organization. Consider addressing the following:
What are the general workforce trends?
How will these trends impact your industry?
What are the general trends in leadership/management that are impacting your organization?
Synthesize data and recommend changes needed for the future. Identify and recommend leader, organizational, and workforce trends that must be considered for change in the larger macro environment (for example, advances in technology or globalization) in your organization. Identify related outcomes for each specific topic: Consider addressing the following:
What leadership actions should the organization take?
What competencies will be needed?
What does the organization need to do to be prepared?

To conduct a holistic assessment of your selected organization and the challenges and opportunities it faces in addressing the noted trends, consider some of the concepts listed below as you develop your recommendations for the organization. It is not necessary to include all the concepts, but you should include 2–3 of them to do a thorough analysis. For example, leadership models and diversity management are likely to be pivotal areas for the organization. You could talk about the environment trends that were noted in the beginning of this assignment and then discuss how leadership practices and approaches in your selected organization may have to change to meet or address those trends.

Analyze how the following concepts apply to your organization:
Diversity management
Leadership models
Ethics
Decision-making models
Problem solving
Conflict management processes

Ensure that your paper includes the following:

An integrated report with an introduction and summary
A set of recommendations that will enable the organization to meet the expected challenges of 2020
Trends in your own organization
3–4 credible, cited sources supporting your projections

Support your assertions using the selected scholarly resources.

Your final product will be in a Word document and be approximately 12–15 pages in length and utilize 5–7 scholarly sources in your research. Your paper should be written in a clear, concise, and organized manner; demonstrate ethical scholarship in accurate representation and attribution of sources; and display accurate spelling, grammar, and punctuation

What was learned through these studies that can be applied to the creation of the above PSA?

Assignment 2: LASA 1 Principles of Persuasion

An environmental organization would like to film a pro-recycling public service announcement and have brought you on as a consultant to help them better understand the principles of persuasion and how they should be applied in this PSA. As part of your presentation to the organization you will need to educate them on the principles of persuasion (using what has been learned through previous research) that will need to be applied to their PSA.

By Wednesday, February 10, 2016 you should create a PowerPoint presentation.

In the first 4 to 6 slides of your presentation you will need to:

Summarize at least two previous research studies on persuasion.

How were the principles of persuasion studied?

Was the research valid? Why or why not?

What was learned through these studies that can be applied to the creation of the above PSA?

In your next 6 to 10 slides you will incorporate all you have learned about the art of persuasion to create your own PSA PowerPoint presentation to present to this organization that they will use to guide the filming of their video.

In this presentation you will need to:

Present a creative argument that will persuade the viewers of the need to recycle, which the video will be based on.

Due Week 8 and worth 200 points

In preparation for this assignment, please view the Jurisville scenarios and resulting simulations from Weeks 5 through 7 in Unit 2: Courts.

In the scenarios and resulting simulations, Tim Smith, senior criminal lawyer, discusses select cases and asks a paralegal to indicate which courts would have exclusive jurisdiction of the cases in question. He also discusses various pretrial procedures and illustrates them with select cases. Finally, Tim Smith introduces the case of Roland Gary, who served twenty-three (23) years in prison for a crime that he did not commit. The case brought to light several key issues, along with the manner in which they were resolved.

Use the Internet to research three real-life cases from the past five (5) years that fit the following criteria:

Cases that depict the unique processes related to different courts
The defendant accepted a plea bargain as an alternative to trial
The defendant was wrongly accused and later vindicated
