Examine the social, cognitive, and societal origins of prejudice and stereotypes.

In many cases, prejudice stems from the unknown. As individuals, we tend to migrate toward those who may look like us, act like us, and think like us. As a result, it may be difficult for us to open our minds and embrace those whose values, beliefs, and overall sense of self differ from our own.

For this assignment, compose a paper that is three to four pages in length. In your paper, discuss the impacts of prejudice, stereotypes, and discrimination in the context of social psychology. Be sure to address the following points:

1. Define and describe the following terms: prejudice, stereotype, discrimination, and ingroup vs. outgroup. Based on your own experiences in the social world, can you relate to any of these terms? Do you identify with a particular term? Why or why not?

2. Examine the social, cognitive, and societal origins of prejudice and stereotypes. Be sure to include specific information regarding categorization, such as ingroup favoritism and the outgroup homogeneity effect, norms, competition for resources, and social inequalities. Of the categories presented, which do you think are the most significant in our society and in your particular community?

3. Analyze the influences that promote stereotyping, and offer strategies to reduce prejudice. What are the consequences of stereotyping and discrimination? Who does this behavior hurt, and in what ways does it hurt them? Are we inadvertently creating self-fulfilling prophecies in our society? If so, how can we take steps to improve attitudes, judgments, and behaviors?

Your paper must include an introduction, a thesis statement, and a conclusion. Your completed assignment should be three to four pages in length (excluding title and reference pages), include a minimum of three references, and follow APA guidelines as outlined in the Ashford Writing Center.

Carefully review the Grading Rubric for the criteria that will be used to evaluate your assignment

Provide a description of the proposed network solution that includes coverage of these components.

computer science

Update the Network Implementation Plan document title page with a new date and project name.
Update the previously completed sections based on the instructor’s feedback.
Add the following new content:
Network Design
Provide a description of the proposed network solution that includes coverage of these components: DNS, DHCP, Network Protocols, WINS, IP Routing, and Certificate Services.
Include diagrams that provide a visual representation of the network structure

provide a solution that can connect all users in a manner that will allow them to manage and share files in a central location.

Assume you are a consultant to a local business that has asked you to propose an enterprise-wide solution that includes computers, peripherals, and networking solutions such that the entire system is secure.

The business is a small publishing company that has 50 employees. The office is located on one floor of a single story dwelling. There are only pillars holding up the roof and no walls. Each “office” is a single glass cubicle.

Detailed specifications are as follow. Addressing each should comprise a separate section of the body of your proposal.

1. PC Selection (Consider drafting this topic during Module 2.)

a. The company for which you wish to be hired as a contractor needs to purchase new personal computers. The company requires clarification regarding all technical specifications for the PC’s with justifications for each attribute. (Note: specify hard drive capacity, speed, RAM, etc., and also recommend an operating system.)

b. The company is looking for at least 20 business-class machines. Brand is not mandated. The company will eventually network all of the computers. The company is looking for you to explain what internal and external networking components are required (explaining each and justifying WHY you chose the machines you did).

c. All proposals should include cost elements.

2. Peripherals (Consider drafting this topic during Module 3.)

a. The company has asked that you provide details regarding the different types of peripheral equipment that can be connected to the computers proposed in the PC Selection section. Include descriptions of the types of connections needed for monitors, storage devices, printers, and any other devices you feel would be appropriate for the scenario described.

b. All proposals should include cost elements.

3. Networking (Consider drafting this topic during Module 6.)

a. You are required to provide a solution that can connect all users in a manner that will allow them to manage and share files in a central location. These are the basic requirements, but you are encouraged to be creative in proposed solutions, keeping in mind that while the organization is growing quickly, it remains relatively small.

4. Security

a. In this section be sure to discuss how the individual PCs and network would be secured.

Your draft proposal should include each of the following sections, with each preceded by an appropriate heading:

Introduction/overview

Table of Contents

Body, including a separate section for each numbered item in the specifications above

Conclusion

APA References

Any appendices you feel appropriate

All Academic papers should include a cover page with your name, date, school name, section, course name, and instructor name.

Support each of your four proposed elements by citing at least one credible source, which may be ITS310 module content, material from the PC Pro LabSim, and/or any credible outside source. Your paper should be 8-10 pages in length with document and citation formatting per the APA Guidelines

Access to everything and there is no security outside of the defaults that were in place when the system was set up.

ZXY Corporation has relocated to a new building that was wired and set up for a local area network (LAN). The company implemented a client/server-based network in which all printers, folders, and other resources are shared but everyone has access to everything and there is no security outside of the defaults that were in place when the system was set up.

You have been hired to secure ZXY’s network and ensure that the company has the highest levels of security to protect against internal and external attacks. In an 8-10 page proposal, include the following items to provide a comprehensive secure environment:

1. A plan to provide secure access control methods for all user access

2. A viable password policy, which includes complexity, duration, and history requirements

3. A cryptography method to ensure vital data is encrypted

4. A remote access plan to ensure that users who access the network remotely do so in a secure and efficient manner

5. A thorough plan to protect the network from malware and various types of malicious attacks

Your proposal should include all of the elements noted above with support, detail, and elaboration for each section explicitly grounded in knowledge from the assigned readings and media along with any outside sources you may choose to bring into your writing.

Your paper should be 8-10 pages in length with document formatting and citations of sources in conformity with

Select one multinational company case.

Business Project (HRM)
SELECT ONE MULTINATIONAL COMPANY CASE (with operations in its home country and at least one other foreign host country) with which you are familiar – one that you can access relevant HRM information about (for example, one you have worked for, had an internship in, an organisation familiar to family/friends, or that you have been able to find detailed information about in journal articles, books, newspapers, internet). Or you can make up a fictitious multinational company case!

Building on our labour market planning/supply & demand exercise in session 3, imagine you are a senior human resources (HR manager) responsible for HRM strategy in a multinational company in the following two contrasting scenarios:

a. In an economic boom (with strong economic growth), as a HR manager what HR strategy and practices would you pursue if demand for workers in your company greatly exceeded supply of workers? (demand exceeds supply)
b. Conversely, in an economic crisis (e.g. deep recession like in 2008), as a HR manager what HR strategy and practices would you pursue if supply of workers in your company greatly exceeded demand for workers? (oversupply)
