Write a 1,050- to 1,400-word paper that uses two to three economic tools and concepts to evaluate a current issue or situation that exists in today’s health care industry. Some examples of economic tools and concepts are supply and demand curves, marginal analysis, and elasticity.

Also, include a narrative summary for any charts, graphs, and figures that are used. Consider searching websites to view national charts, graphs, and figures that may provide you data concerning economic tools.

Using the network diagram below, your task is to incorporate the devices on the lower right into the diagram to create a secure corporate network. The devices you need to incorporate into the network diagram include: Web server, ftp server, vulnerability scanner, anti-virus server (client-based / server-based), Web proxy, intrusion detection system (IDS), and authentication server.

Note: All client-based / server-based devices work where a client is installed on a workstation, which has bidirectional communication with a corresponding server.

Determine which devices you will use for both the current network diagram infrastructure consisting of firewalls, routers, and workstations as well as the device you need to incorporate. Include the following for each:

Establish the configuration for each device in which you:

Explain the impact that each of your configurations has on the security of the entire network.
Highlight at least five (5) security features for each device, including devices in network diagram.
Using Microsoft Visio or its open source alternative to create a final network diagram that incorporates all devices into the existing network and ensures the following:
VPN sessions (from laptop) are only allowed to access the desktops in the IT department by IT department employees.
All VPN connections from the Internet cloud into the corporate network terminate at the VPN server.
Users from Engineering and Finance and Accounting CANNOT communicate.
Vulnerability scans occur daily in which all desktops are scanned at least once per day.

Imagine for a moment that you are a hacker; an ethical one. You are called upon by law enforcement based on your expertise to hack into a network of a business known to be launching crimes against humanity as its primary mission for operation and capital gain. Assume you are not to be concerned with any politics of the job and your actions are legal and ethically justified. This nefarious business takes its own security seriously and therefore has implemented several forms of network security such as firewalls, Web proxies for its Web gateways, and VPNs for remote users. You also know that this business exists much like any normal corporation, renting several floors of office space to accommodate between 100-200 employees. Also imagine that the business’s entire network topology is located in that same location. Your goal is to infiltrate the security enough to find evidence included in the local MSQL database. In order to really learn about interviewing, you must practice doing interviews. There is no substitute for direct experience in learning about interviewing. This assignment will be the first of several interviews you conduct during this course.

Find a volunteer to role-play a client. The purpose of this assignment is to introduce you to the experience of formulating questions and gathering information during a clinical interview. You are not expected to have mastered these skills in week 1 nor even by the end of this course. Clinical interviewing is a skill that requires a lot of practice and years of training.

Here, you will simply interview the volunteer who is role-playing a client that is having trouble at work. Be sure to develop a plan for the interview ahead of time. What is the purpose of your interview? How will you achieve that purpose?

Case: Carson Jones (Plaintiff) vs. Italian Cruise Ships (Defendant)

Plaintiff Carson Jones brings this action against Italian Cruise Ships “ICS” for personal injuries sustained while he was vacationing aboard the Italian Princess.

This case arises out of an accident that occurred on June 15, 2006, when the small boat ferrying passengers from the ship to the port of Acapulco capsized. Mr. Jones suffered a broken arm and the loss of two toes that were severed from his right foot by a sharp object. After Mr. Jones was stabilized at the local hospital, he was flown back to the United States the next day.

Mr. Jones is a U.S. citizen, residing in California. At the time of the accident, the plaintiff was on a Caribbean cruise which sailed from Miami, Florida. Italian Cruise Ships is an Italian corporation. However, the company maintains a sales and marketing office in Miami. Internet advertising and marketing brochures contain a U.S. phone number and mailing address. The ticket purchased by Mr. Jones was issued out of the Miami office and contained the following sections:

Section 13: Time limits for noticing claims and filing and service of lawsuits: Any lawsuit for personal injury or negligence must be commenced not later than one (1) year after the date of the death or injury.
Section 14: Governing Law: The Passenger Contract is issued by Italian Cruise Ships, an Italian corporation, and shall be governed in accordance with the laws of Italy.
Section 15: Choice of forum/venue: The parties expressly agree that any and all disputes and matters arising under or in connection with the passenger contract or the cruise shall be litigated in and before the Italian court system.
Section 16: Arbitration: You and ICS agree to submit any dispute that does not arise out of the negligence or willful fault of ICS to binding arbitration. The arbitration shall be conducted by the International Chamber of Commerce in the venue specified in Section 15 above.

After returning to the United States and recovering from his injuries, Mr. Jones filed a personal injury suit in the U.S. District Court in Miami, Florida, on June 20, 2007, seeking $1,000,000 for the injuries he sustained.

Using the information learned in your reading this module and gained from additional research, you should review the case facts, identify the legal issues, and prepare arguments and defenses for your respective clients.

Research the dispute process and the requirements for the country you selected in Module 1. Explain the dispute resolution methods used in that country. Analyze the risks and benefits of each type of dispute resolution. In addition, evaluate how a U.S. Company’s strategy or the company you have selected should be formulated to provide the most benefits with the least amount of risk.

Present the dispute resolution process by providing an overview of how disputes are handled and then providing specific instructions and legal requirements for your primary country you selected. Evaluate how e-commerce affects your company. You can consider the following questions:
