A basic premise of a market-based economy is that each individual has the opportunity – through education, experience, hard, work, etc. – to improve his or her job earning potential. As a result, some employees may enjoy greater earnings than their colleagues. Assess how an organization can create a fair, market-competitive compensation system that provides greater rewards for those who earn it, yet is viewed as fair and equitable by the organization.

The job description is often referred to as the building block of human resources. Nearly every employment action – recruitment, compensation, discipline, etc. – is predicated on an effective job description.

Today, there is considerable debate whether job descriptions should be broader and more generic, versus narrow and more specific. Distinguish between the advantages and disadvantages of each approach, and which you see as the more preferable approach.

Could access by unauthorized people to a computing system result in a 10 percent denial of service to the legitimate users? How?

The Boeing 787 is a fantastic aircraft with versions capable of seating up to 300 passengers with a range of up to 8,200 nautical miles. This aircraft is full of technology including a composite material skin, a fiber optic data bus for networking, and a high tech in-flight entertainment system (IFE). During the certification process the FAA issued a special condition that required Boeing to prove the aircraft’s common network was secure against hacker intrusion.

Some industry analysts have pointed out that the only reason for this special condition is because the technology used on the aircraft are beyond definitions and concepts contained within current certification rules

From the scenario, the Industrial Revolution created many changes in American society. Imagine yourself as an “average” person at the time who worked on a farm or in one of the new factories, and consider at least two advantages and two disadvantages the new industries brought to your life.

Compare and contrast one of the men who made a fortune in the Industrial Revolution (i.e., Rockefeller, Carnegie) with someone who has made a fortune in today’s technology revolution (perhaps Steve Jobs or Bill Gates or Mark Zuckerberg). · You are the President of the United States and are mediating the Arab-Israeli Conflict. The leaders of both nations have come to the United States and are spending the entire week with you at Camp David, the Presidential Retreat. Your goal is to solve the Arab-Israeli Conflict, once and for all.

· The leaders of Israel and Palestine are both willing to concede to anything; however, Israel will not secede any land beyond what they already have; the land they current hold is theirs to keep.

· Prepare the PowerPoint presentation that you and your Cabinet would present to these two world leaders. In your PowerPoint, you should include:

o At least 3 viable options to solve the Arab-Israeli Conflict; be sure to clearly describe the main points of each viable option

o 1 option that you feel will solve the Conflict and reasons for such

o Clearly outline any concessions, steps, mandates, or other aspects that each country must do in order to solve the Conflict
