Research a local health policy issue that is a hot topic in your state. You can also contact a local county commissioner or state Congressional member in your state to gain insight on the issue or (you may also research local or state government websites or refer to the local news media).
On the basis of your research, answer the following:
Discuss the implications of the selected issue on the community as a whole.
Who all are affected by the policy?
Who are the key stakeholders in the development of the policy? Discuss their individual roles in policy development?
Explain the roles of those responsible for implementing the policy.
Does federal government play any role in the policy development process and its relationship in terms of funding? If yes, explain.
If the federal government is not involved in the policy development process and its relationship in terms of funding, should it be involved? Why or why not?
Research the policy demographics of CHIP in your state. Also examine the adequacy of the CHIP program in your state.
In your opinion, if Medicaid was meant to cover families living below the poverty line, then what is the purpose of CHIP?
Illustrate the differences and similarities between the two programs?
Every state has its own variation of CHIP. What does your state call the program?
Who all are covered in CHIP and what are the eligibility requirements?
In your state, if CHIP is meant to cover uninsured children, why are there so many uninsured families with children?
In many national healthcare systems, the providers of care are either subsidized or work directly for government-owned facilities. In the United States, the government-operated programs, such as Medicare and Medicaid, contract with providers. The VA, on the other hand operates its own system of hospitals, clinics, and long-term care facilities. Medicare and Medicaid set the rules regarding which services are offered and the amount to be paid for those services.
Compare and contrast the VA Health System with Medicare and Medicaid. Describe in detail the similarities and differences.
What lessons can the programs learn from each other when looking at administration of services and programs offered by recipients? Discuss the implications in terms of access to care, controlling costs, and ensuring quality care

An employee, who had access to highly sensitive information stored on the organizations intranet, had been terminated from your workplace. Add the chief information security officer, you suspect that the employee plans to retaliate by hacking into the organizations information systems.
Include your preventive actions and responses add the chief information security officer.
Format your paper consistent with APA guidelines.

As they explore the world around them, young children often want to know the “why” and “how” of the things they observe. This is similar to what researchers do when they approach a new problem. Researchers develop new theories or build on old ones to explain the “why” of the world around them. They use models and conceptual frameworks to help explain “how” the processes and events they observe occur. Together, theories and models provide an understanding of the world and allow researchers to explore it in meaningful ways.
Virtually all research questions can benefit from the use of an existing theory or model. Researchers should consider their research questions and select the most suitable theory or model, which then serves as a foundation for the research design. The selection of a theory or model is an important part of the research process.
In this Discussion, you focus on the role of theory and models in research and evidence-based practice.
To prepare:
Review the information in Chapter 6 of the course text. Focus on the various conceptual theories and models that are currently used in nursing research.
Select one of the theories or models described that is of interest to you.
Using the Walden Library, search for and identify a research article that uses the theory or model you selected.
Reflect on how the theory or model provides structure to the research study described in the article.
Now, think about an issue in your practice area that you would be interested in exploring through research.
Review this week’s media presentation and consider strategies for locating and identifying a relevant theory or model for a research study.
Post on or before Day 3 a summary of the article that you located and explain how the theory or model that you selected was used in the research study. Assess the value of basing research on an established theory or mode
Prepare and submit a 10 – 12 page comprehensive and integrated marketing strategy for your product or service, the plan should briefly describe the product or service, and present an integrated and viable strategy addressing target market, distribution channels, pricing, and promotion. In addition, provide a competitive analysis that describes how the product or service can be differentiated from current and/or anticipated competitors, and how technology including e-business and social media supports the marketing strategy. Support your analysis with six (6) or more academic sources, which may include your textbook, and/or credible business journals such as Barrons, The Wall Street Journal and/or Business Week. Your analysis should include:
Paul, the HR Director at Bumpbie, had previously worked as Director of HR for Kelecton, a small company with 240 employees that makes software for utility companies. The majority of employees were programmers and engineers who designed and installed proprietary software for regulating and tracking electricity and gas. Since the company had been experiencing a 15-20% rate of growth, recruiting experienced employees was a continuing challenge due to the specialized skill sets required. Paul left the company when he found out from a friend about the opportunity at Bumpbie. Just before he left, he conducted an employee survey which revealed the following:
Paul informally shared the survey results with the CEO, CFO, and VP of Operations. They indicated concern for many items, but also pointed out that finances were stretched to the limit in order to fund their continuing growth. They asked Paul to draw up a conceptual plan that would address the majority of the employees’ concerns “without breaking the bank.” The next step was to meet and discuss the conceptual plan and give Paul direction as to next steps and priorities.
Develop a draft, 950-1000 words, of the plan Paul would have done if he had stayed. The plan is a means to identify, on a general level, the options for management to consider and for Paul to pursue further. Assume there is not sufficient time to assemble specific costs for the various options, but take into consideration what you have learned from the text about general costs and savings. The plan should include:
– Changes to be made to current systems, processes, policies, and activities based on survey results, with your rationale for these changes
– Prioritize the changes in order of least to most expensive
– It is acceptable to make assumptions and/or add details that have not been provided
A minimum of three (3) credible references is required
