Compare and contrast the role of art in the Western and Eastern cultural traditions. How does art function in each? Is there a particular artistic medium that stands out from each? What impact does art have as a whole on each tradition? Use specific examples from at least four (4) cultures to illustrate your discussion.

The cultures that we studied in the class were Ancient Greece, Africa, Japan, medieval culture, Mesopotamia, India, China, Rome, and the Islamic World.

Class is Aesthetics, Values and Culture. Professor is Derek Blemberg. The book from the class must be cited along with 4 other scholarly references. The book is The Humanistic Tradition by Gloria K. Fiero, Sixth Edition, Volume I.
I will need a cover page and a reference page, not included in the 9 pages. So all together the paper should be 11 pages with cover page and reference page. There should be a running header on the paper (APA format).

Research papers will have a body of five to seven (5-7) pages. The paper must also have a revised outline, and Works Cited pages. (These pages are NOT considered as part of the body page count.)
