or definitions, you must put the definition in your own words—NO copying directly from the book or any other source.

When I ask for an example, you must make up your own example—NO examples may be used from the book.

Any homework with copying/plagiarism from any source will receive a grade of zero. There is no need to use any quotes in this assignment. ANY homework that includes direct quotes (whether they are properly cited or not) will have deductions. ANY homework that features more than 10% of its body as direct quotes (whether properly cited or not) may receive a zero for the assignment.

1) Define and describe Allport’s concept of functional autonomy. What role does it play in the development of personality (be specific….how does functional autonomy shape and/or influence personality)? What is the relationship between our motivation (work motivation, love motivation, exercise motivation, etc.) and our different levels/types of functional autonomy?

2) Using either a) or b) below (it is up to you which one you choose), take a personality test based on the trait model of personality. Please remember to print out your results, as the programs do not allow you to save your results to return to later.

a) https://sapa-project.org/

b) http://www.personal.psu.edu/~j5j/IPIP/ipipneo120.htm

Next write about the following issues:

Briefly describe your results on the five factors of personality (i.e., what was the personality profile the test provided for you?). Be sure to include all five factors. For example, “I scored low on neuroticism, high on extroversion, low on psychoticism, etc…”
Discuss your score on each factor. How and why does your score on each factor reflect or not reflect your understanding of your personality? Be very specific as to why you think the test is incorrect in assessing this aspect of your personality.
Internet resources having to do with the 5-factor model and interpretation of the 5-factors will be very useful to you (hint). You will not pass this question unless you use actual, factual information about the 5-factor model and trait approaches.
If you do not wish to disclose personal information, you may ask a friend, parent, sibling, spouse/partner, etc. to take the test (no one under 18). Then you answer the questions above regarding your understanding/perception of that person.

3.) Think about someone from the following list. At what level of Maslow’s hierarchy of needs is this person currently operating? Explain and justify your answer in terms of concepts from Maslow’s theory and with examples from the person’s life. Be specific; use specific stages and specific concepts to back up your answer.

Barak Obama
Donald Trump
Bill Gates
Taylor Swift
Michael Jackson (at the time of his death)
Your brother/sister
Yourself

4) The purpose of this question is for students to learn how to apply psychological theories to real-world examples. It is very important for students to gain this skill in this class, and it is a part of every written assignment. The questions about Sway will help you to prepare for your final paper, which will require you to apply theory in several different ways.Remember that your task in this question is to apply the theories to real life situations. Sway gives you a couple of real-life situations in each chapter for you to choose from. Make sure you choose one that you can explain using a theory from class. Application of theory requires answering the question “Why did he/she do that?” using specific, defined concepts from the theory. You can’t just say, “Yes, X theorist applies here;” you have to say why the theorist applies. You have to define specific concepts and use them to explain the actions of the person in the chapter.

following to answer with a 400-500 word essay:

a. The third chapter of Sway concerns the concept of value attribution. Define this concept as you understand it from your reading of the book. Use Murray’s concepts of needs to explain the concept of value attribution. According to Murray, why would people engage in value attribution? What function does it have in our lives?

Do you think the hospital needs to complete more marketing research before embarking on the campaign?

Demand Analysis Briefing and Marketing Campaign

You are the director of marketing for a regional hospital. The board of directors at your hospital has studied the 2011 Institute of Medicine (IOM) report Early Childhood Obesity Prevention Policies. The alarming statistics quoted in the IOM report stated that “almost 10 percent of infants and toddlers carry excess weight for their length, and slightly more than 20 percent of children between the ages of two and five already are overweight or obese” (IOM, 2011, pg. 1). A survey conducted among the pediatricians who admit patients to the hospital validated that area children under the age of 5 years follow or exceed the national trend of being overweight or obese.

The board is very concerned about childhood obesity rates for the children in the hospital’s marketing area. At the last meeting, the board directed the marketing department determine the demand for childhood obesity programs and to review the IOM report and propose a marketing campaign to provide information to parents and guardians concerning ways to prevent children from birth to 5 years of age from becoming overweight.

Click here to access the IOM report.

Prepare a demand-analysis briefing for the board of directors. The demand-analysis briefing should be no longer than 2 pages. You will need to do some research to understand the nature of the broader demand questions, but you should focus your analysis on clearly explaining the demand problem to the board. Be sure to define the healthcare demand problem in the scenario.

Here is an outline:
Define the service (1-2 paragraphs). Explain exactly what the service is, when it should be delivered, and what signals quality to the consumer of the service.
Define the demand (2-3 paragraphs). Who are the consumers for this service? Where are they to be found? Are there any consumer characteristics that impact demand for the service? What are they? How sensitive is the consumer to price (price elasticity)?
Define the direction of demand (1-2 paragraphs). What are we trying to do with the demand—-increase it, decrease it, or manage it in other ways? When you analyze the direction of the demand, be sure to consider not only what benefits the consumer, but also the organizational strategy of your focus provider and how the provider can stay financially viable.
Demand management recommendations (1-2 paragraphs). List the steps you recommend. What should management do? Support your recommendations with a clear summary of your previous analysis.
Write a 2- to 3-page marketing campaign to discuss the following marketing issues:
Do you think the hospital needs to complete more marketing research before embarking on the campaign?
What advertising media would you suggest to be used during the campaign?
What products or services could the hospital offer to assist in reducing the number of infants and toddlers who are overweight?
Do you expect to generate any revenue for the hospital from the campaign?
How long will the campaign last? How long would you continue to measure the effectiveness of the campaign?

Make sure you integrate the demand analysis and the marketing campaign for the Board o

Assignment 2: Weekly Assignment: Defenses and Excuses and Their Effects on Victims

In this assignment, you will locate the various ways to avoid a guilty verdict for criminal behavior. Until this point, you have been researching your state’s criminal statutes. Now, you will turn to the defenses and excuses for criminal behavior. Be creative in your research within the statutes as these are not self-explanatory, but must be discovered by reading in between the lines. The readings in your digital assets and additional resources will help you in your research.

You will also look at the defenses and excuses not only from the defendant’s viewpoint, but from the viewpoint of the victim as well. This evaluative approach will stimulate some thoughts as there is no right or wrong answer. Place yourself in the shoes of the victim to complete this part of the assignment.

What You Need To Do?

In this assignment, you need to go to your state statutes and locate at least six listed defenses and excuses based on your assigned readings. Provide a complete paragraph on each of the listed defenses and excuses explaining what is required in your state to justify a crime. Keeping in mind the above scenario, analyze the following:

Provide evidence on how successful using any of these defenses or excuses would be and if using them will prevent the accused from going to jail or prison.

After completing the first part of the paper, in two complete paragraphs discuss how these excuses or defenses affect victims in a particular situation.

Describe how being an innovation leader could potentially enable you to foster positive social change.

Reflect on the process of creating goals for the BPPG in the previous courses of this program. Think about how you employed creativity to create this plan: you had to consider your currently existing leadership and professional skills, imagine a future version of yourself who has grown and developed in exciting ways, and generate innovative plans to overcome any challenges you might face in the course of your personal and professional development.

As in previous courses, you will now add to your Blueprint for Professional and Personal Growth. You should develop your BPPG from your learning in this course and design it to help you become a leader who knows how to demonstrate creativity, support creativity within your team, and use foresight to foster creativity and innovation.

Consider the following as you complete this Individual Reflection:

What can you do now to integrate the experiences and insights you had in this course with your personal and professional development goals?
What are the most important things you are taking from this course that will shape your future and enable you to make a positive difference?

All components of the Individual Reflection should be turned in as one document:

The Executive Summary: Write an Executive Summary of the course to date (2–3 paragraphs) that addresses the following questions:
Which content and assignments in this course have had the biggest impact on your ability to foster a culture of innovation within an organization?
How have the content and assignments changed the way you think of the role of innovation within the organization and the way you will engage in the creative process?
How can the knowledge you gained in this course enable you to make a positive difference?
In what ways do you think innovation and creativity can influence positive social change within an organization, community, or more broadly?
How have the content and assignments continued to shape your goals?
After considering what you have learned in the course, create a focused and succinct strategy for your personal and professional life that will enable you to be the innovation leader you described in your Week 7 Individual Reflection. As part of your strategy, be sure to include responses to the following:
List three areas you could focus on for your innovation strategy relative to your own organization, an organization for which you would aspire to work, or your personal life. Describe the importance of each of the focus areas chosen and provide examples with support from the resources.
Describe how you will measure progress toward your success.
Describe how being an innovation leader could potentially enable you to foster positive social change. To what extent do you think innovation can contribute to positive social change? Provide an example to support your position.
Your action plan: Write a detailed action plan for one new goal for professional and personal development (you will continue to build on the list of goals you started in your previous course). These action plans should include the following:
Your specific goal for professional and personal development with an explanation as to why you selected it. Be sure to provide concrete and specific examples of why the goal is important, the extent to which this goal enables you to be an agent for positive social change, the personal or professional value you expect from achieving the goal, and how the goal relates to the resources you reviewed in the course.
Hint: If you want to expand upon a plan or initiative you have already proposed in a previous week, feel free to do so.
At least two objectives for the goal you have identified. Provide a rationale that explains how your objectives will help you to achieve your goal.

Week 2 Discussion 1

The U.S. government’s expansive role in public policy is caught in a swirl of conflicting crosscurrents. On the one hand, popular expectations about government’s responsibility to solve problems often exceed the capacity of state and local authorities to respond effectively. On the other hand, policies developed at the national level may not sufficiently reflect the great diversity of interests across the U.S. to be effective at the local level. Moreover, the search for effective policy is further complicated by theoretical debates about the constitutional framework of federalism, that is, what limits on national power can be derived from the Tenth Amendment?

If you are a business major, how does the insurance mandate in the Affordable Care Act affect local, state, and national businesses and their employees?

Week 2 Discussion 2

Reflect: Once you have completed these assignments, think about how federalism and the U.S. Congress have or will affect your life. The federal structure ensures that there is a clear line between local, state, and federal government regulations, policies, and oversight—sometimes! Think about how federal statues affect your work or will affect your work in the future. Does Congress have oversight of any of the processes or products in your workplace? Do the government regulations, policies, and oversight sometimes conflict with local or state regulations, policies, and oversight?

Write: In your initial post of, based on your current or desired job, complete the following:

•Describe how a federal policy affects your current or desired workplace.

•Explain what role Congress has in establishing workplace conditions in your current or desired job.

Fully respond to all parts of the prompt and write your response in your own words. Your initial post should be 200 to 250 words. Support your position with APA citations from two or more of the assigned resources required for this discussion. Please be sure that you demonstrate understanding of these resources, integrate them into your argument, and cite them properly.
