Scenario: Grocery Ltd
In business, good decision making requires effective use of information. A Sales Director of Grocery Ltd, the recently established mass retail business in Dubai, seeks information on the grocery market in Dubai in order to make several important business decisions. He appointed you as his consultant to analyse relevant market data/ information and deliver a professional report based on your findings.
Grocery Ltd operate several grocery stores in Dubai; all stores were established four years ago. During the past two years the company’s turnover was growing at rates below the market average. The Sales Director is convinced that the major problem is inability of Grocery Ltd to build customer loyalty. The grocery stores offer a wide variety of food and non-food merchandise and are located in the mid-income residential neighborhoods where other competing stores also operate. Grocery Ltd do not currently run any discount or loyalty programmes. The Sales Director proposes the launch of private label foods (store brands) and home delivery shopping option.
(1) Your role as the consultant will involve investigation into current and possibly future consumer behavior and attitudes of grocery shoppers in Dubai. Based on your findings you will need to suggest the improvement opportunities to Grocery Ltd in order to boost their sales and retain customer loyalty.
(2) The Sales Director also asked you to evaluate the statistical relationship between the average monthly household income and monthly household grocery spending in Dubai market for the purposes of internal decision making.

Based on this notion, you might reflect on moments where you have seen counter culture classrooms with bean bags, couches, open spaces for learning where students can move freely around the room in a more relaxed manner. The educators who designed these classrooms had educational progressives like Dewey in mind.

Based on the philosophy of Dewey, the beliefs of John Seeley Brown, and the idea that study groups are essential to success and can take place virtually, what type of online learning environment would best meet the needs of virtual study groups? What would the role of the teacher be in managing and facilitating these groups?

An important part of any change project is how the change is communicated to the organization, to the change agents, to the line workers, to the customers, and to the public. Along with media relations issues, communicating change (especially in a publicly traded company) can involve multiple legal and regulatory aspects, as well as personnel and management concerns. Perhaps the single most difficult piece of handling Kotter’s “establish a sense of urgency” is that too many inexperienced or immature change agents read this to mean “panic the troops.” Never do this.

The main part of your project this week will ask you to pick ONE of Apple Inc and Kodak’s change plan, and develop a communication plan for the company. Summarize at least one (1) current example (within the past two [2] years) of intellectual property theft, and examine the effect on that company’s brand.
Analyze the potential issue surrounding the death of John’s wife and other potential litigants against PharmaCARE as a result of AD23.
Specify both the major arguments that John can make to claim that he is a whistleblower and the type of protections that he should be afforded. Justify your response.
