You are the HR manager of a relatively new retail company that has both retail stores and Internet sales. Your company is steadily growing in revenue and profitability. The company realizes that in order to retain the solid, highly productive workforce it currently has in place, it is important to enhance the base compensation and benefits package offered to the employees. The company currently offers a basic compensation program and only federally mandated benefits. Employee surveys suggest the compensation and benefits program may be out of date. Employees are beginning to consider leaving the organization.
Write a six to eight (6-8) page paper in which you:
Propose two (2) methods an HR professional could use to determine incentive pay. Specify the principal manner in which the proposed methods take into consideration individual, group, and company performance. Justify your response.
Examine the core legal requirements affecting employee benefits in today’s competitive environment. Determine the legally mandated benefits that the company must currently offer to its employees.
Recommend at least four (4) additional benefits that the organization should consider providing to its employees. Suggest at least three (3) important concepts that a company must consider when designing benefit plans. Provide a rationale for your response.
Assess the efficiency of common techniques for effectively communicating compensation and benefit plans to employees. Support your answer.
Suggest two (2) ethical risks of making incentive pay a large portion of employees’ total compensation. Propose two (2) recommendations for ways the company might mitigate or reduce these risks.

and only do question1-5
A 70-year old man visits his GP complaining of feeling fatigued. During the consultation he mentions he has lost weight over the past 6 months despite having a relatively normal appetite. On further questioning the patient describes increasingly frequent urination, particularly at night, with some difficulty starting to urinate. He denies any pain at urination and has not noticed any sign of blood in his urine. He has no significant previous medical history.
Examination: GP requests urinalysis with culture and sensitivity, a blood test for PSA, and performs a digital rectal examination (DRE), which reveals firmness in one lobe of the prostate. PSA result is received several days later and is increased at 12 ng/ml, urinalysis reveals trace amounts of blood and protein, urine culture is negative.
The patient is referred to the urology clinic for transrectal prostate biopsies for histological examination.
Questions for discussion:
1). What is the significance of the PSA result?Discuss the aetiological factors relevant to this case.
2). Why are transrectal prostate biopsies the preferred method of tissue sampling prostate tissue? What regions of the prostate are most likely to be sampled and why?
3). What fixatives are most suitable for this tissue type? How long is required for adequate fixation of this tissue?
4). What histological features by Haematoxylin and Eosin (H and E) staining would suggest the presence of prostate cancer? How are these findings graded?

case study essay.

The action continues to build in Act 4.? In Scene 1, the queen (Gertrude) reports to King Claudius that Polonius has been slain by Hamlet.? Claudius summons his lackeys Rosencrantz and Guildenstern to once again attempt to get something out of Hamlet.? This time he wants them to find out where Hamlet stowed Poloniuss body, so that he can recover it before the bad news spreads throughout the kingdom.? As usual, Claudius is trying to put a positive political “spin” on the events, even as these events continue to spiral out of his control.? When Rosencrantz and Guildenstern cannot get anything out of Hamlet (Scene 2), Claudius interrogates him directly (Scene 3).? This confrontation between the king and Hamlet is worth reading closely.? While it is very funny, it also shows Hamlet being outrageously disrespectful to the king.? At the same time, Hamlet reveals the depth of his obsession with death and the apparent meaninglessness of ambition in life.? (After dying, even a king “may go progress through the guts of a beggar.”)? After Hamlet finally tells Claudius where the body is, Claudius informs him that he is sending him to England “for thine especial safety” (4:3:40).?
For homework, please answer the following questions about Scenes 4 through 7:
Scene 4: Explain the significance of Hamlets fourth major soliloquy (solo speech), delivered after his encounter with Fortinbrass army in Scene 4 (lines 30-65).
Scene 5: In Scene 5, Ophelia appears to have lost her mind.? While dealing with this new crisis, Claudius is confronted by the arrival of an angry Laertes, who has heard rumors about his fathers murder.? What is the significance of this confrontation?? In answering the question, consider the following.? A foil is a character who is similar to the main character in many ways, but sheds light on the main character by way of contrast, by some important difference. We have seen several “foils” for Hamlet already in this play (Fortinbras and Pyrrhus).? In what sense is Laertes also a foil for Hamlet?
Scene 7: At the end of Act 4, we discover that poor Ophelia has expired.? Explain how she dies.? A debate will later ensue in the kingdom as to whether she died accidentally or committed suicide.? What evidence do you find for either or both sides of this debate? ?(I will be especially impressed if you can argue for BOTH sides of the debate.)
As always, I am looking for well-developed answers, not just a sentence or two about each question. ?Your responses should include not only your own claims and comments, but the quotation of specific lines from the text to support them.
