I trust you are working on your project paper. Please know that while writing your paper, it is necessary and required that you follow the steps below:

1. Abstract. Here you summarize your total paper briefly in a single paragraph. Objective, method, major findings – NO equation or detailed discussion.

2. Introduction. In this section you discuss what you are doing and why your work is important. In the end, a paragraph with your main findings is a must. This section is typically no longer than two pages.

3. Literature review. Discuss methods, data and results of several published research papers in the area of your work. Also explain how your work is important and different from those work. Around two pages is okay.

4. Data and Methodology. Clearly indicate type of data you are using and the source(s) of data. Detail the methodologies you would use in the paper. If you use multiple methods, all needed to be clearly elaborated with necessary equation and explanation.

5. Results and discussions. This is important that you explain your findings in detail and indicate that they are reasonable and realistic. If you have performed any hypothesis testing explain them. You must show your results in tables or graphs labeling serial number and titles. Large table can be attached in an appendix (Please don’t attach any data set with your paper).

Star Trucks Ltd. is a trucks manufacturing company, with a production plant in Bedford, UK, and Head Office in London, UK. It markets its trucks mainly in the EU (European Union), the Middle Eastern,and other Mediterranean Region markets. Management has realised that these markets are nearly saturated and its new strategy is to go worldwide and get a good foothold in emerging markets.

Assume you are General Manager of a marketing consulting firm, Market Solutions International Ltd. The CEO of Star Trucks Ltd. has approached you to assess opportunities in the emerging markets. The following is the Brief you are given by the CEO:

“Considering Star Trucks Ltd. being a medium sized company we want to expand cautiously and step by step. Guidelines for undertaking the Assignment

The assignment consists of ONE piece of coursework made up of two tasks.
Task 1 The Research Design Proposal (50%)
The research proposal must include a background which describes the basic situation underlying your project.
It must include a statement of the problem or opportunity that is the aim of your project. It must describe the rationale for your project, why you wish to carry out this research and the benefits that will accrue from its successful conclusion.
You must create research objectives that, when you successfully complete them, will have the information that enables you to solve the problem or capitalise on the opportunity that is the aim of your research.
You must evaluate and fully describe the research methods that will be necessary to successfully complete the research. Data collection methods must be selected and described which are consistent with the research philosophy necessary for its completion: these will include secondary and primary data sources. The methods by which the data you collect will be analyzed need to be justified.
Finally, ethical, validity and reliability issues relevant to the research must be discussed and a time plan for its completion must be calculated and displayed as a Gantt chart (or another suitable format).

Task 2 The Literature/Evidence Review (50%)
The research proposal must also include a Literature/Evidence review which evaluates the context for your research and sources academic research and models that are relevant to the project. It should include a critical evaluation of relevant theoretical and practical references and include breadth of understanding and depth of critical evaluation. Reviews will require analysis and evaluation of evidence and sources and be informed by theory and appropriate practice.

Assessment Criteria
This assignment requires you to demonstrate your knowledge and understanding of the issues surrounding the financial reporting of key figures in financial statements. Your evaluation must not be purely descriptive in nature; it should provide clear evidence of your understanding of the issues surrounding relevant accounting policies and framework requirements.
